For this week’s Table Tennis Fitness, we are going to be having a look at some pre-workout exercises for our shoulders!
Today’s exercise is a go-to warm-up for the shoulders. It’s a dynamic stretch (meaning it involves movement and helps the body warm up) and we do it regularly before table tennis training in Germany!
Fitness Goal: aim to perform 2 sets of 2 reps each for this exercise, with each rep lasting 20-30 seconds in each direction respectively (forwards and backwards)
Tip: as the focus is on the shoulder muscles, try to keep your body as stable as possible (legs straight) whilst performing this exercise
