Living and training in Germany is an essential part of Matthew’s development in his Table Tennis career, due to the lack of regular professional quality training in the UK.

Additionally, participation in the prestigious ITTF tournaments across the world is not only important to increase Matthew’s World Ranking in the sport, but also to strengthen his level of play, and broaden his playing experience against some of the best Table Tennis players in the World.

However, when totalling the overall expenditure each season – rent, training, tournaments (entry fees, flights, hotels) – the costs add up to a substantial amount.

Matthew is now seeking additional sponsorship to enable him to keep competing at the highest level, and to allow him the chance to follow his Olympic dreams.
